8 Step Weed Control Program
Just before Spring arrives, a pre-emergent treatment for summer weeds will be applied. This will create a barrier to keep new weeds from germinating. A post-emergent will be included for existing winter weeds.
As Spring approaches, a pre-emergent treatment for on-going prevention of new weeds will be applied that includes post-emergent for existing weeds.
Mid Spring the first round of fertilizer will be added for early growth. This will help feed the lawn with balanced nutrients to become healthy and strong. A post-emergent treatment will also be applied if weeds are present.
In early Summer a second round of fertilizer will help to promote a lush and beautiful lawn. Another post-emergent treatment if weeds are present.
During mid Summer a slow release fertilizer will be added. This time released formula will add the proper essentials without damaging the turf. A post emergent treatment will be applied if weeds are present.
Around late Summer, round 4 of fertilization will supply the lawn with nutrients to recover from the hot temperatures. Spot treatment of weeds if needed.
As early fall approaches, the final application of fertilizer will be applied for the remainder of the season. Spot treatment if weeds are present.
Last treatment in late fall pre-emergent will be applied for winter germination and a post emergent for new weeds that have snuck in. Cool Season grasses will receive a round of fertilizer.
